\"0fd1edf\"<\/a>Kalia Barrow<\/strong> is a 3rd year student at Syracuse University, working through\u00a0her B.F.A. in \u201cSpecial Studies in the Arts\u201d from the College of Visual and Performing Arts as well as a minor in Information Technology and Management and another Minor in IT Designs and Startups. \u00a0Having\u00a0been raised mostly in Syracuse, Kalia has an inherent passion for both the city and the university. \u00a0Her years spent in Hawaii as a baby and Toronto as an elementary student are ones that have rooted her passions for nature and entertainment.\u00a0Her skills and studies range through interdisciplinary areas of design, writing and programming.\u00a0Her more noteworthy experiences include working on a national, sponsored gravitational research project called \u201cLIGO\u201d and time spent with Syracuse\u2019s Office of Community Engagement on the \u201cConnective Corridor\u201d project.\u00a0Dream fields include event planning, business consultation and free lance installation art. \u00a0In her free time she enjoys\u00a0listening to podcasts and collecting LED lights. \u00a0Contact:\u00a0kzbarrow@syr.edu<\/a><\/p>\n

\"Roster<\/a>Andrew Bateman <\/b>is currently in the process of obtaining a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Syracuse University. He has just entered his third year as an undergrad student, and plans to receive his degree in May of 2016. After graduation, his main goal is to work to help research and design new and sustainable forms of alternatives from oil-based energy. Andrew is a member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChE<\/a>) and also a member of the\u00a0varsity crew team<\/a> at Syracuse. He is proficient in the use of Microsoft Office \u2013 particularly Excel \u2013 as well as the computational program MatLab. This past summer Andrew spent three weeks backpacking across Europe; traveling to France, Italy, Germany, and Holland. Although born in the Bronx, NY, he now lives with his parents slightly more north in Westchester, NY. When not studying or at practice, Andrew enjoys spending his free time reading the A Song of Ice and Fire<\/i> book series, skiing, and hopelessly teaching himself French. \"bateman\"<\/a>Kelly Benjamin <\/b>is currently an undergrad student at Syracuse University. She started her university career at SUNY Potsdam, where she stayed for two years before transferring to Syracuse University. Kelly plans to use her degree to help her father manage their family business, with future goals of becoming a CPA. In the past, Kelly has worked with her father at the family business<\/a>, but has also expanded her experiences through internship opportunities. Through these professional experiences, Kelly has had interaction with multiple interfaces for business systems, such as QuickBooks<\/a> and Traverse Accounting and Business Software by Open Systems. She was born and raised in Central New York, where she spends time helping the community through events sponsored by the local American Legion. Aside from residing in Central New York, Kelly enjoys spending any free time in the northern part of the state, where her family has a camp on the Saint Lawrence River. When she\u2019s not hanging out on the riverbank, there\u2019s a good likelihood that Kelly can be found attempting<\/i> to cook a recipe she found on Pinterest<\/a>, or trying to catch a good nap. \"caamuto\"<\/a>Francisco Caamano<\/strong> is a third year undergraduate student at the L.C. Smith College of Engineering at Syracuse University. His passion is in the field of chemical engineering where he hopes to graduate in 2016 and go into the pharmaceutical industry as a career path. Currently, he is a part of many organizations such as SHPE<\/a>, Syracuse University Ambulance, CSTEP<\/a>, Theta Tau Fraternity and a member of the Syracuse Club Quidditch team. This summer Francisco Caamano went back to his hometown in New York City and spent the last part of the summer going to the NILA Conference in San Diego, California; where he developed leadership skills to run his own student chapter in Syracuse. As a chemical engineer, he has expansive experience with reading scientific chemical engineering research papers; this can aide in others understanding of intellectual writing. Comprehension and usage of technical software is an important skill in engineering; that is why he is an expert in softwares such as Matlab, Excel and MathCard. Many would think that life of an engineer is full of headaches from calculations and long sleepless nights; however, an interesting fact about Francisco Caamano is that he socializes with his fraternity brothers and plays quidditch at the same time while keeping a high scholastic agenda. \"chandran\"<\/a>Anisha K. Chandran<\/b> is from Irvine, California but is currently pursuing a double major in Retail Management and Supply Chain Management from Syracuse University\u2019s Whitman School of Business. She is in her third year at school and upon graduating in the Spring of 2016, Anisha hopes to be a buyer in women\u2019s fashion for a well-known company. This past summer Anisha spent her time externing forRoss<\/a> in both the planning and buying departments as well as interning for finance company,State Street<\/a>, in the investment management servicing aspect of the business. In her internship with State Street, Anisha was a member of the bank loans team and was instrumental in processing clients\u2019 bank loan trades with a broker and agent bank. When Anisha isn\u2019t furthering her education, she\u2019s jamming to Beyonc\u00e9, religiously watching the Los Angeles Lakers and San Francisco 49ers games on TV, or binge watching Scandal and Ugly Betty on Netflix. <\/b>Contact: akchan01@syr.edu<\/a><\/p>\n

\"conroy\"<\/a>David Conroy <\/b>is pursuing his B.S. in Finance and Accounting from Syracuse University. \u00a0He is starting his third year of undergraduate study and plans to graduate in May 2016, where he hopes to join a multi-national accounting firm or a Wall Street investment bank upon graduation. \u00a0At Syracuse David is involved in thevarsity rowing team<\/a> and the Honors Program, along with the Investment Club in the Whitman School of Management. \u00a0This past summer, David had an internship in the Innovations Department of theCleveland Clinic<\/a>, one of the world\u2019s largest health systems. \u00a0As an intern he helped license various medical devices to the Clinic, and also gained experience in professional writing by preparing various reports and presentations. \u00a0He also has gained extensive knowledge with various programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and KSS TechTracS through the internship. \u00a0David loves snowboarding, and one day hopes he can find a career that allows him to travel around the world. \u00a0His hometown is Cleveland, Ohio and he has three sisters. \"goldman\"<\/a>Rachel Goldman <\/b>is a second-year Information Management & Technology major (and Psychology minor) at Syracuse University, hoping to graduate in December 2015. She was born and raised in Plano, TX. Rachel had an internship with the Advanced Networking Systems – Internet team at Fidelity Investments this summer. She doesn’t know what she wants to do as a career yet, but is thinking about becoming an IT contractor for the Army, since her fianc\u00e9 is in the Texas National Guard. She has ample experience in creative writing, blogging<\/a>, and social media<\/a>, but very little in professional writing. She is, however, pretty good at most computer programs, and can usually figure them out even if she hasn’t used them before. Rachel is, as the third link above indicates, the creator and admin of the Facebook page The Grammar Police, which currently has over 125,000 fans. She will correct your grammar, but will try not to be obnoxious about it. Fun fact: Rachel played the cello for seven years in middle and high school, and will gladly beg her parents to ship her instrument from Texas to Syracuse if someone asks her to join their band. \"jiang\"<\/a>Tian L. Jiang<\/b> is currently a senior majoring in Retail Management and Supply Chain management at Syracuse University. On campus, Tian is the Master of Rituals of Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity and one of two project leaders for3fifteen-eBay<\/a>. In the fall semester of 2013, she studied abroad in Hong Kong, China. During her time there, she was exposed to multiple cultures and had many eye-opening experiences. Most of Tian\u2019s retail experiences come from Zara and Duane Reade by Walgreens. At Zara, Tian gained hands-on experience as a sales associate in the women\u2019s department. Her work in the sales floor helped her acquire knowledge about retail store operations and strategies of fast fashion. As a community Management Intern at Duane Reade by Walgreens in the summer of 2014, Tian was able to learn about a whole different market of retail; which is retail pharmacy. At Duane Reade by Walgreens, she established store management skills and deepened her understanding with retail store operations. \"Untitled\"<\/a>Lincoln Lam <\/strong>is a senior at Syracuse University, majoring in Finance and Biochemistry and minoring in Architecture. He is originally from Buffalo, NY and hopes to pursue a medical career after graduation. He aspires to integrate his interests by applying the managerial and business aspects from the Whitman School of Management to a medical discipline. Lincoln has expressed an interest in orthopedic surgery, as it provides a balance of medicine as well as the artistic aesthetics required of surgery. He is currently the Vice President of Finance at Phi Delta Epsilon <\/a>International Medical Fraternity, and is involved with several other organizations throughout campus. His interests outside of academics include design, fashion, crossfit, soccer, and lacrosse – among others. Lincoln loves to travel and frequently travels with his family when not in school. \"luther\"<\/a>Jason<\/strong>\u00a0W.\u00a0Luther<\/strong>\u00a0received his MA in English from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2005 and his BA in English and BS in Communication from SUNY Fredonia in 1999. He\u00a0is starting the 4th year of his\u00a0doctorate in Composition and Cultural Rhetoric at SU\u00a0this year and hopes to finish in 2016. Most of Jason’s professional writing experience comes from directing\u00a0SU’s Writing Center<\/a>\u00a0for six years and serving as the English department\u00a0chair for three years at Maple Grove Jr\/Sr High School in Bemus Point, NY. As the Writing Center Administrator at SU, Jason revitalized the Center’s web presence, developed two new online services, partnered with the Hillside Program<\/a> to provide writing workshops for teens in the city’s South Side, and collaborated with SU’s\u00a0Office of\u00a0Institutional\u00a0Research and Assessment (OIRA)<\/a> to comprehensively assess student learning and satisfaction.\u00a0When he’s not reading, playing with his kids, or cooking with his wife, Jason is either spinning mid-90s indie rock, feeling disappointed by the sports teams of Buffalo (his hometown), or plotting his next western sojourn.\u00a0Contact:\u00a0jwluther@syr.edu<\/a><\/p>\n

\"nicusanti\"<\/a>Kathryn M. Nicusanti <\/b>received her high school degree from Mount Saint Mary Academy, in Watchung NJ in 2012. She is starting her third year of her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at Syracuse University and plans on graduating in 2016. Most of Kathryn\u2019s education here at SU consists of Art History courses and extensive studio classes in the fine arts. As an upcoming junior she interned atMinasyani<\/a> a fine jewelry design company and designer in NYC. She plans on continuing her education at SU focusing on jewelry design courses as well as textiles and other areas in the fine arts. Kathryn also has her own line of jewelry on Etsy,Boho Revival<\/a> she, creates and sells her own designs. She plans on going abroad in the Spring of 2015 to Florence, Italy for SU\u2019s study abroad program where she hopes to dive deeper into her Art History major. \u00a0When she\u2019s not designing, studying or in the jewelry studio, Kathryn is either shopping, uploading another #OOTD on Instagram or listening to Lana Del Rey. Audriana Ortega <\/b>is a junior at Syracuse University who is pursuing a major in Finance as well as a minor in Child and Family Policy studies. She is originally from New York City and has 3 sisters, one brother, and two pet dogs. Over the summer, she took classes and lived on campus while interning at a small men\u2019s fashion company called J Allen Inspired, where she is helping the owner get her business off the ground. She has worn many hats at her other positions, such as at Deposit A Gift, where she worked as a Marketing\/Social Media and Business Development Intern, and PFS Inc. where she worked as salesperson, financial educator, and customer service rep and was promoted to District Rep Manager. At PFS Inc., she was sponsored for her Life Insurance License and is currently studying for her Investment Broker\u2019s License. She has dreams of opening a business that focuses on providing a financial education and planning resources and sees herself one day operating a charter school or nonprofit in the education arena. Pappas <\/b>is a junior undergraduate majoring in Accounting in the Whitman School of Management and minoring in Political Science in the Maxwell School of Public Policy at Syracuse University. After she graduates in 2016 she hopes to pursue her MA in Accounting for one year in order to complete the 150 credit hour requirement to sit for the CPA exam. At SU, she is an active member of the Delta Gamma sorority and has spent two years on the SU dance team where she competed in the 2013 NDA Collegiate Championships with the team in Daytona, Florida. This summer Alina returned to her hometown in Pittsburgh, PA where she volunteered over 100 hours at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and interned at a local mortgage bank, Victorian Finance. Alina has used her internships and classes at SU to gain more professional writing experience, but hopes to improve and expand on her writing skills throughout this class. In her spare time she enjoys taking yoga classes, eating a lot of Greek food, attending concerts, and planning her next trip to New York City, where she hopes to move to after college. \"ripley\"<\/a>Lucas W. Ripley <\/b>is from Rochester, New York where he went to Rush-Henrietta Senior High School and received his diploma in 2012. Lucas has played baseball since he was 4 and played for his school from 8th grade through his senior year. In his senior year, he was selected to the Monroe County All-County team as a pitcher. After he graduated, Lucas then began attending Syracuse University where he is currently in his junior year. He is majoring in Chemical Engineering in L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Sciences while working on a minor in Economics. Lucas also has a twin sister who goes to St. John Fisher College in Rochester and an older brother. When he isn\u2019t busy going to classes, Lucas spends a good amount of time either doing his school work or going to the gym to play basketball. Lucas is a huge sports fan and follows the New York Mets, New York Giants, Buffalo Sabres, and, of course, the Syracuse Orange. \"sophias\"<\/a>Evan Sophias <\/b>is from Fort Lee, New Jersey. He is currently a student at Syracuse University studying Finance. At Syracuse, Evan is involved in the entrepreneurship and the investment clubs. Over the summer he had an internship at a local bank called ConnectOne Bank<\/a> where he worked in the finance department. After the internship was over, he went to California for a week. Some skills Evan has are being certified in Microsoft Excel,having expertise in sales, and fluent in two languages. \u00a0A fun fact about Evan is that he currently runs a sneaker business. He has been running this since high school. In the future, Evan\u2019s goal is to get a job in the investment banking industry where he can use the same ideas as the sneaker business but with stocks. \"strelitz\"<\/a>Julia Strelitz <\/b>grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia before attending Syracuse University in 2012. She is currently a junior enrolled in the Whitman School of Management and is double majoring in Retail Management and Marketing. This past summer, she interned for a clothing company called Kings of Colehttp:\/\/www.kingsofcole.com<\/a>, where she gained great experience in the business world that will help her in her future career. She is not positive what she wants to do with her degree in the future, but combining fashion and business has always been a dream of hers. Julia is extremely diligent and organized, which will help her a lot when learning how to professionally write documents. In addition, Julia has two younger siblings, a sister and a brother, and enjoys being outside as well as working out. \"lexi\"<\/a>Lexi M. Tulcewicz <\/b>graduated from Berea High School in 2011. After attending the University of Akron for a year she decided it was not the right fit. After looking at a few different schools she decided Syracuse University was the right choice. This past summer she interned with the Fortune 500 Company Northwestern Mutual as a financial advisor. She is a member of the United States Figure Skating Association and the blog MusicCreatesUs. While earning a Girl Scout badge she discovered her passion for figure skating. She attended the 2007 and 2008 Junior Nationals placing top 10 with her partner both years.In her free time she enjoys teaching learn to skate, yoga, and crafting. \"valdez\"<\/a>Edel-Mark Valdez<\/b> is a Senior at Syracuse University, majoring in Information Management and Technology<\/a>. \u00a0Mark is originally from Philippines, he moved to Omaha, Nebraska when he was the age of eleven. His professional goal is to work for the government on the civilian side in \u00a0Information Security or something IT related. Since he has been studying IMT and also works in Maxwell ICT <\/a>as a Classroom Tech, Mark is experienced in working with different types of technology like classroom projectors, \u00a0lapel microphones, and document cameras . Over the summer, Mark visited his family in Omaha, Nebraska, where he spent his time relaxing with friends and family. Mark’s personal achievements include completing Warrior Leadership Course in the Army, receiving the Army Achievement Medal during a field mission, and having multiple ribbons. \u00a0A fun fact about Mark is that he is fluent in one other language besides English, and proficient in another. \"white\"<\/a>Ethan H. White <\/b>received his high school diploma from Niagara Wheatfield high school in 2012. \u00a0He is striving for his BS degree in Chemical Engineering at Syracuse University\u2019s L.C. Smith College and plans to graduate spring of 2016. He is from New York City and he enjoys playing basketball and baseball as he is a Yankee\u2019s Fan. In the summer, he went to a Yankee\u2019s game as this season is Derek Jeter\u2019s last season he will be his last season playing baseball.
