Meet with your Tech Briefing partner(s). <\/strong>Check out the <a title=\"Tech Briefing schedule\" href=\"https:\/\/courses.jasonluther.net\/professional\/?page_id=88\" target=\"_blank\">partners<\/a> and then\u00a0meet and discuss your plan for the proposal that is due on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Analyze examples<\/strong>\u00a0&#8212; Look at these letters and describe what&#8217;s effective and what&#8217;s not.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>[<a href=\"https:\/\/www.courses.jasonluther.net\/professional\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/example-1.docx\" target=\"_blank\">Example 1<\/a>]<\/li>\n<li>[<a href=\"https:\/\/www.courses.jasonluther.net\/professional\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/example-two-1.docx\" target=\"_blank\">Example 2<\/a>]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As you do, think about the author&#8217;s\u00a0audience,\u00a0claim,\u00a0evidence,\u00a0organization\/format, and\u00a0tone.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Writing your own.<\/strong>\u00a0After we share some examples from our own experiences as a large group, work with your neighbor to develop answers to these question through your own story:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Who are you writing to? Do you know them? Did you meet them?<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">What is your exact, specific, and reasonable complaint? In other words, what is the problem?<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Have you gathered relevant information (receipts, docs, data) that would help you write a more detailed or persuasive letter?<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">What should have happened?
