Activity 1: RFPs<\/strong>.\u00a0Browse the RFPs at <a href=\"grants.gov\" target=\"_blank\">grants.gov<\/a>, find an example from your field, and skim the synopsis, full announcement and\/or application materials to identify:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Investors &#8212; Who are they? Who do they represent?<\/li>\n<li>Problem\/need\/goal &#8212; Why are they posting this RFP?<\/li>\n<li>Objectives &#8212; What would a good proposal promise to do?<\/li>\n<li>Solutions\/Methods &#8212; How could might a proposal insure it keeps that promise? What must an applicant say about their qualifications, scheduling, resources, and capacity to manage?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>5. Activity 2: Kickstarter<\/strong>.\u00a0Browse the various projects on <a href=\"http:\/\/kickstarter.com\" target=\"_blank\">Kickstarter<\/a>, find an example that interests you, and skim the page to identify:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Investors &#8212; Where &amp; how does the maker address them?<\/li>\n<li>Problem &#8212; What need or desire does this thing satisfy?<\/li>\n<li>Solution &#8212; What is the thing and what does it promise to do?<\/li>\n<li>Methods &#8212; What appeals does it make to insure it will keep those promises?
